Com três albuns nas bagagens e três passagens pelo nosso país, Patrick Wolf não se dá a descansos estando neste momento a trabalhar num novo álbum (que se diz duplo) a que se junta, ainda, um dvd de uma performance ao vivo. É esperar para ver deste menino de origens irlandesas, que já muito deu ao mundo da música actual.

Biografia

Nascido Patrick Denny Apps, a 30 de Junho de 1983, Patrick Wolf é hoje um compositor e músico de Londres. O espólio de instrumentos que toca é admirável mas entre eles destinguem-se o violino (do qual tem aprendizagem académica), o piano, a viola, o ukelele e claro, o seu instrumento mais cuidado, a voz.
O primeiro álbum de originais, Lycanthropy, foi lançado no Verão de 2003 no Reino Unido e mais tarde na restante Europa e América.
Dois anos depois, 2005, lançou Wind in The Wires pela mesma editora germânica, Tomlab.
Nesse mesmo ano assinou pela Loog e começou a trabalhar no novo álbum, e último até à data, The Magic Position, que conta com participações de Marianne Faithfull e Edward Larrikin (Larrikin Love). A seguir ao seu lançamento, no Inverno de 2007, seguiu-se uma tour pela Europa, América do Norte e Japão.
Assim se deu as três passagens pelo nosso país: Lux (Lisboa), a 18 de Abril, Theatro Circo (Braga), a 19 de Abril, e no dia 6 de Agosto no Festival Sudoeste TMN.
Com lançamento previsto para 2009 está o sucessor de The Magic Position que segundo o que Patrick tem vindo a comunicar no seu myspace, será um álbum duplo e com um certo número participações de como Smashing Pumpkins. Espera-se ainda um DVD de uma actuação do compositor-músico, também para o próximo ano.
