Obrigatóriamente, pink floyd, led zeppelin, queen, genesis, deep purple, ramones, beattles, black sabbath e talvez sex pistols.
tbm te podes espalhar pelo grunge: Mevins, green river, mother love bone, skin yard, nirvana, sonic youth, dinossaur Jr, alice in chains, pearl jam, soundgarden, mudhoney e temple of the dog (estes são os q conheço)
ou então pelo próprio post-grunge: silverchair, creed, staind, incubus, audioslave, seether, 3 doors down e mais q agr n me tou a lembrar.
trip hop tbm é mto bom: massive atack e portishead.
bandas emo só gosto de the used e, apesar de n achar q seja emo, Jimmy Eat World.
Bandas assim recentes, uma q venero é bullet for my valentine.
indie rock talvez gostes de bloc party, editors, the sounds, the ting tings, the wombats, mando diao, the islands, the ranconteurs, franz ferdinand, ra ra riots, yeah yeahs,, deu-me uma branca xD

portugueses gosto de skewed, fonzie, x-Wife, Vicious Five, Censurados, BunnyRanch, Mata Ratos, Tara Perdida, Pluto, Ornatos Violeta, Hands on Approach, Lullabye, Pontos Negros, Xutos & Pontapés, Ku de Judas, Pestes & Sida e Perfume..
Acho que o mais fixe é encontrares bandas pelas quais te apaixones e fiques com grande vontade de as conheceres bem. Isso era o que acontecia geralmente antes da enorme oferta via internet ter mudado muita coisa. Sente-se uma empatia especial, uma ligação.
Mas uma banda assim encontra-se em geral por mero acaso. Escreve playlist na Pesquisa. Devem aparecer muitas bandas. Depois... se tiveres algum feeling ou curiosidade por certas bandas... myspace ou youtube para teres uma amostra e wikipedia para saberes melhor quem são :) .
